Attracting 60,082 fans on Friday and 60,124 fans on Saturday, Blue Chair/Columbia Nashville's Kenny Chesney played to a whopping 120,206 fans at Gillette Stadium to close the Big Revival Tour this weekend, breaking yet another record.
After a decade of visiting the Foxoboro, MA venue—where his No Shoes Nation was named—he hit a new high with his twelfth and thirteenth shows, performing to over three-quarters of a million combined fans.
“Some nights you just know you’re going new places up there,” Chesney shared in retrospect. “I could hear the fans long before the swing was above the platform – and flying over all those heads, seeing the faces, I could tell Boston had been waiting for these shows almost as much me and the band had! The No Shoes Nation are some of the fiercest, most passionate music lovers – and there is nothing like the way they come at these songs.”
When we reached out, however, we were informed that Chesney was on a beach in St John and unavailable for further comment.
