KENNY CHESNEY: NO SHIRT, NON-PROFIT, NO PROBLEM
6/29/15

Before his sold-out Florida Country Superfest show, Columbia Nashville’s superstar Kenny Chesney visited the first two No Shoes Reefs at Jacksonville’s St. John River.

Having written a plethora of songs about his good times on the water, the eight-time Academy of Country Music/Country Music Association Entertainer of the Year is giving back to his nautical muse to promote the quality of aquatic life. Through partnering with Costa Del Mar Sunglasses and the Coastal Conservation Association/Building Conservation Trust, Chesney supported the creation of two reefs that are now thriving with life.

"It’s so easy to take the oceans and waterways for granted,” Chesney says. "What they were able to create here says a lot about the ways man can live not just in harmony, but supporting our natural aquatic resources."
