As we continue to hopefully move forward with the times we are overdue to start paying attention to streaming numbers and the influence they should have for the alternative format. This Top 20 chart reflects the most streamed songs currently on the Mediabase radio chart for this past week.
The two that really stand out are Lord Huron's "Night We Met" which has a staggering 3.4 million streams this week which makes it #3 at alt right now. The Lumineers latest single "Angela" also appears to be a winner as it's #9. Don't discount Lorde as "Green Light" had close to 2 million streams. It's not surprising to see Chainsmoker's & Coldplay #1 because of all of the Top 40 airplay it has but the smash hit was a mixed bag at alt radio where it's around the Top 20.
