The Place Where Radio and Records come Together Without Talking
THE STRUMBELLAS-"Spirits"
1/6/16

A record to watch as we start off the New Year is "Spirits" from The Strumbellas who are on Glassnote Records. The band from Lindsay, Ontario, Canada which is about 90 miles north of Toronto is the first record of 2016 to start off with major buzz. This week at radio influential KROQ LA added "Spirits" plus KITS SF and WLUM Milwaukee.

“The Strumbellas’ powerful, anthemic music is a force to be reckoned with,” says Glassnote founder and president Daniel Glass, “I can’t wait for people to hear them play live. I am extremely proud and honoured to have them join the Glassnote team.”

“I’m not sure what made me more nervous – when my first child was being born or when the President of Glassnote Records flew up to our hometown to meet with us,” lead singer Simon Ward reflects. “Having our band, The Strumbellas, be a part of the Glassnote team is literally a dream come true for us. Glassnote is everything we’ve ever wanted for a label and it feels like home. It feels like a family already. It feels like all of those days that I spent as a kid, naked in front of a mirror singing to Sinead O’Connor are finally starting to pay off.”
