New releases this week are from an English singer-songwriter and guitarist who's "mind was blown" after hearing his dad play Eric Clapton's "Layla" when he was a kid, and an alt-rock band who initially built a name for themselves by gigging all over Los Angeles' artsy Silverlake neighborhood.
