As #1 records continue to come and go—I won’t name names—the truly BIG hits always seem to hover around the Top 10 for an extended period of time. This holds true for Epic with Future & Metro Boomin’s "Like That" f/Kendrick Lamar (Boominati/Freebandz/Republic), which is still in the top after 21 weeks on the chart. And a bit more recently, ICLG’s Lamar has also been a mainstay with “Not Like Us” (pgLang/Interscope), which is still up over 250 spins after 15 weeks. PULSE/Concord have a hit on their hands with Tommy Richman’s “MILLION DOLLAR BABY” (ISO Supremacy), which is also still Top 5 after 15 weeks. These are the types of records that are the foundation for power rotations as others take their turns atop the chart.
Dixie Tipton and ICLG are trying to join the #1 club with GloRilla’s “Wanna Be” w/Megan Thee Stallion(CMG/Interscope). The track ends the week at #3 and gains 295 spins. On the building chart, it’s currently at #2 and needs to fish strong to get to the top this week. JT’s “OKAY” (Quality Control/Motown) climbs two spots to #19 this week and is up 55 spins as it continues to build. GloRilla’s other track “TGIF” rockets to #22 thanks to an increase of 475 spins. Look for this one to be Top 15 in the next few weeks. Moneybagg Yo’s “WHISKEY WHISKEY” f/Morgan Wallen (CMG/N-Less/Interscope) has been a big buzz record for a few months now. They officially impacted the collab a few weeks ago and it has since moved to #30 and adds 180 spins to its total this week. Ice Spice & Central Cee’s “Did It First” (10K Projects/Capitol) holds at #32 this week. Shenseea & Wizkid’s “Work Me Out” (Rich Immigrants/Interscope) just misses a debut this week, landing at #43, but it gains 190 spins and should debut next week.
B Dot Scales and Warner move Saweetie’s “NANi” to the Top 5 this week; she’s currently up 200 spins and is setting up to go #1 in the next few weeks.
Over at Columbia, James White has Central Cee’s “BAND4BAND” f/Lil Baby in a very solid position. The single ends the week at #8 but it is already sitting Top 5 on the building chart; it sees massive 440-spin increase. The Kid LAROI’s “GIRLS” moves to #23 and has another triple digit gain this week. Meanwhile, ian has one of his strongest weeks with “Magic Johnson” (BU Vision) securing a125-spin increase and moving to #31.
Lori G and RCA continue to drive Victoria Monét’s “Alright” (Lovett Music) as she moves #27-24 this week and gains more than 215 spins. A$AP Rocky’s “HIGHJACK” is off to a very solid start. After just two weeks, he’s perched at #26 and heads toward the Top 25.
Epic’s Rick Sackheim and Dontay Thompson are pushing 21 Savage x Summer Walker’s “prove it” towards the Top 10. The track holds at #13 this week after an increase of 160 spins. They are also impacting Real Boston Richey’s “Help Me” (Freebandz) this week, which is already Top 50 on the chart.
Angelo Scrobe and the PULSE/Concord team have Richman’s “DEVIL IS A LIE” (ISO Supremacy) climbing six spots to #18 this week and securing an increase of 380 spins. Jeremih’s “Wait on It” also continues to develop as lands 140 spins and ends the week at #21.
