THE BALL STREET JOURNAL

This year’s Grammys were quite a success (with a few surprises to boot). A big congrats go out to Parkwood/Columbia’s Beyoncé for her record-breaking wins! I also thought the celebration of the 50th year of Hip Hop was a pleasant surprise. I would have loved to see more of the pioneers and huge current stars, but it was still great. And now on to the music!

Davey Dee and Republic take Metro Boomin’s "Creepin'" f/The Weeknd & 21 Savage to #1 this week. Metro Boomin’s “Superhero (Heroes & Villains)” w/Future & Chris Brown impacted last week and it’s already at #19 after gaining an impressive 820 spins. It will be in the Top 15 by next week. Meanwhile, Coi Leray’s “Players” (Uptown) gains 620 spins and enters the Top 10. They are also impacting Drake & 21 Savage’s “Spin Bout U” this week. Up 220 spins, it just misses a debut and lands at #41. Look for this one to have a high debut next week.

RCA’s Lori G and Inca have SZA’s “Shirt” (TDE) moving to #3 this week. With an additional 485 spins added to its total, the track looks to get to #1 next week. Meanwhile, SZA’s “Kill Bill” gains a whopping 855 spins and moves up two spots to #8. It will surely be in the Top 5 next week!

Columbia’s John Strazza continues to grow Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers.” The single is an absolute monster at Top 40 and is the #1 song in streams and Shazam in the country. She moves to #21, thanks to a 425-spin increase.

Dixie Tipton and Capitol are impacting Lil Baby’s “Forever” f/Fridayy. It starts the week at #44 and is already up 175 spins. Look for this to debut this coming week.

Over at Epic, Rick Sackheim and Dontay Thompson have Oxlade’s “Ku Lo Sa” landing at #18 this week after picking up an additional 115 spins. They also have a new artist, Tyla, whose song “Been Thinking” is starting to generate some buzz. The track comes in at #52 with an increase of 145 spins this week. Make sure you check it out.

Def Jam’s Noah Sheer welcomes Hitkidd’s “Shabooya” on the chart. Gaining 310 spins, it debuts at #34.

B Dot Scales and Warner have NLE Choppa “Do It Again” f/2Rare at #11. Up over 400 spins, the goal this week is the Top 10.

Interscope’s Nino Cuccinello continues to drive Rema x Selena Gomez’s “Calm Down” up the chart. It moves to #16 and is up an impressive 315 spins. They are also impacting GloRilla’s “Internet Trolls” next week.
