CROSSOVER
THE BALL STREET JOURNAL

The top of the chart is starting to shake out as four of the Top 5 records are on the decline. With three published chart weeks left, there will most certainly be new records at the top to start the new year!

Columbia’s John Strazza and James White are making sure that Chlöe’s “Have Mercy” (Parkwood) is one of those records. She’s up 460 spins and sits at #4 on the building chart. There’s a good shot she’ll be in the #1 spot this week, and if not, she’ll be there the following one. Lil Nas X’s “THAT’S WHAT I WANT” tacks on another 170 spins and comes in at #21. He’s also Top 10 at Pop. Polo G’s “Bad Man (Smooth Criminal)” just misses a debut this week, finishing the week at #42. This one saw a 365-spin increase and is #38 on the building chart.

RCA’s Lori G and Inca have Latto’s “Big Energy” at #8 on the printed chart and #6 on the building chart! With a 585-spin boost, the label is making the push to take her to #1 after Chlöe. Normani’s “Wild Side” f/Cardi B (Keep Cool) continues its amazing turnaround. It’s currently at #15 with a 485-spin increase. They’re also debuting H.E.R.’s “Find A Way” f/Lil Baby & Lil Durk at #40, which was up 240 spins this week.

Over at Republic, Davey Dee and Garrett Ream have a singular focus, and that’s to take Drake x 21 Savage’s “Knife Talk” f/Project Pat to the top. It jumps an impressive ten spots this week to #22 after enjoying an increase of 555 spins.

Noah Sheer and Def Jam have a number of releases and records that are moving. Kendra Jai’s “Seesaw” f/Saweetie holds at #24 this week after gaining 65 spins. MOUNT WESTMORE’s “Big Subwoofer” f/Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, E-40 & Too $hort climbs to #34, adding 175 spins to their total, while Big Sean’s “Loyal to a Fault” debuts at #36. YG’s “Sign Language” just misses a debut and lands at #41 this week with an additional 50 spins to his total. Kanye West’s “Believe What I Say” officially impacts this week. Sitting at #55 and up 150 spins, you can look for this to debut by next week.

Dixie Tipton and Capitol have Capella Grey’s “GYALIS” perched at #4 and it’s up 355 spins. They’re still shooting for that #1 spot before the end of the year with this one.

Warner’s B Dot Scales sees Wale’s “Poke it Out” f/J. Cole & Cool & Dre enjoy a 355-spin jump as it climbs #10-7. The next stop for this is the Top 5. Majid Jordan’s “Stars Align” f/Drake moves up two slots to #28. Scales is also impacting Saweetie’s “Icy Chain” this week. Look for this to be in the Most Added column for sure.

Rick Sackheim and Dontay Thompson at Epic continue to build GIVĒON’s “For Tonight” (Not So Fast). He’s up 55 spins and comes in at #17 this week. They also debut French Montana x Doja Cat’s “Handstand” f/Saweetie at #37, thanks to a 505-spin increase. Rick Ross’ “Outlawz” f/Jazmine Sullivan & 21 Savage comes in at #52 and is a few weeks away from a chart debut.

Over at Interscope, Nino Cuccinello takes Summer Walker’s “Ex for a Reason” f/JT from City Girls to the Top 20 after a 185-spin boost while Moneybagg Yo’s “Scorpio” gains 350 spins and climbs four spots to #32.
