With Thanksgiving right around the corner, followed by holidays and then a two week hiatus, it feels a bit slow with big, new releases. Not to belittle the current music, but there aren’t many “no Brainer” new records out there right now. Brannon Scales and Warner's Wale “On Chill” holds the #1 spot for another week.
It holds out RCA’s Chris Brown “Heat”, which was up nearly 700 spins and looks to claim that spot this coming week. Inca and Lori G also have Doja Cat's “Juicy” inside the top 15, gaining 215 spins. G-Eazy's “I Wanna Rock” has a solid jump on the chart, moving #32-27, and gaining 200 spins. H.E.R.'s “Slide” sees a 145 spin increase, and she is now at #30. SiR's “Hair Down” is just getting started.
John Strazza and James White at Columbia are impacting a brand new artist this week. Arizona Zervas' “Roxanne” is a top 5 streaming record, and has just a huge buzz at multiple formats. A number of stations have already began to play it as an unsigned artist, which is pretty rare in this day and age. It was up 150 spins, and I see it debuting in the next two weeks! They also debut 24KGoldn's “Valentino” at #40 this week. This was up 50 spins. Russ & Bia's “Best On Earth” just misses, coming in at #41, but was up 225 spins, and is a lock for a solid debut this coming week.
Republic’s Davey Dee and Garrett Reem see Post Malone's “Enemies” add another 450 spins to his total, moving him to #4 this week. He should end the week at #2. His other track, “Circles”, is at #12 and still growing. The goal here is a top 10. Lil Tecca's “Did It Again” moves inside the top 25, after a 120 spin increase. Blueface's “Close Up” is still developing, and looks to be a few weeks away from a debut.
Capitol’s Dixie Tipton has done an amazing job with Layton Greene's “Leave Em Alone”. It is at #7, up 165 spins this week. Quality Control's “Baby” comes in at #23, and Internet Money's “Somebody” is up 90 spins, and moves to #34.
Interscope’s Nino Cuccinello welcomes Mustard's “Ballin” inside the top 10. It was up over 400 spins, and is now at #9! He also has DaBaby “Baby Sitter” at #11 and still growing. Blackbear's “Hot Girl Bummer” is up 175 spins, and is officially inside the top 25. Summer Walker's “Playing Games” shoots to #31, up 80 spins. Nino also debuts Juice WRLD's “Bandit” at #39. This increased by 215 spins, and is also moving at top 40. Moneybagg Yo “All Dat” f/Megan The Stallion continues to develop.
The two headed monster of Rick Sackheim and Dontay Thompson at Epic are pushing Travis Scott's “Highest In The Room” towards the top. It enters the top 5 this week, thanks to a 340 spin increase. French Montana's “Writing On The Wall” lands at #16, gaining 130 spins. Tyla Yaweh's “I Think I Luv Her” just misses a debut, reaching #42 this week. It is up 85 spins. They just impacted Black Eyed Peas' “Ritmo” this past week. It is up 140 spins, and comes in at #58.
Noah Sheer and Def Jam have the highest debut of the week with Kanye West's “Follow God”. It was up 440 spins, good enough for #29! Danileigh's “Easy” is up 55 spins, and is now #17. YK Osiris' “Ride” leaps to #28, gaining 60 spins. Fabolous' “Choosy” is still growing as well. It is up 60 spins, and comes in at #37.
