Gary Spangler and Davey Dee at Republic have Drake’s “God’s Plan” (YMCMB) firmly entrenched at #1. It has a 1,500-spin lead on the closest record, which also happens to involve another one of their artists, XO’s The Weeknd. He teamed up with Kendrick Lamar on “Pray for Me” (TDE/Aftermath/Interscope), which moves to #3 this week, gaining another 900 spins. This looks to be the heir apparent to the throne; just wait about two weeks. The team also has Post Malone f/Ty Dolla $ign’s “Psycho” inside the Top 10 this week. That one was up 740 spins and is sure to hit the Top 5 soon enough. Big Sean & Metro Boomin f/Kash Doll’s “So Good” continues to develop each week. It’s currently at #35. Luis Fonsi & Demi Lovato’s “Échame La Culpa” (Sony Music Latin) is also just getting going. Trinidad Cardona’s “Dinero” is up triple digits as it gets up and running.
Greg Marella and Dixie Tipton at Capitol have Migos’ “Stir Fry” (QC/Motown) officially inside the Top 5. It was up 630 spins. Stefflon Don f/French Montana’s “Hurtin’ Me” (QC/Motown) climbs to #12, up over 100 spins. Right behind is Offset & Metro Boomin’s “Ric Flair Drip,” which was up 200 spins, and the streams continue to impress.
RCA’s Inca and Lori G see Tinashe f/Offset’s “No Drama” slide #32-27 this week. It was up 125 spins and continues to pick up new stations each week. Khalid X Normani’s “Love Lies” (Right Hand/Keep Cool) debuts at #32, thanks to an increase of more than 275 spins. The streams on this are super. A$AP Rocky x Gucci Mane x Future f/London on da Track’s “Cocky,” up 70 spins, continues to build each week.
Rick Sackheim and Dontay at Epic have DJ Khaled f/Jay-Z, Future & Beyoncé’s “Top Off” (We The Best/Roc Nation) moving #19-14, up over 575 spins. It’s been less than three weeks, and it’s still gaining momentum. Blac Youngsta’s “Booty” (CMG) cracks the Top 20 this week. It was up another 175 spins and is hitting its stride. Kent Jones’ “Merengue” (Epidemic/We The Best) is at #26, and developing. A. Chal’s “Love N Hennessy” (GAZI WORLD/Empire) comes in at #57.
Ayelet Schiffman and James White have a Lil Xan remix that they just sent out to radio this week. They also have Remy Ma f/Chris Brown’s “Melanin Magic” at #21. The goal is Top 20 next week. They also just sent out a remix of N.E.R.D & Rihanna’s “Lemon” that features Drake.
Noah Sheer and Def Jam have Logic & Marshmello’s “Everyday” coming in at #19. It was up nearly 700 spins. The reception thus far has been very positive with both Rhy and Top 40 stations. Jhene Aiko “Sativa” (ARTium) lands at #22, up 125 spins. They’re impacting 2 Chainz f/YG & Offset’s “PROUD” this week.
Paula Tuggey and Strange Music continue to develop Tech N9ne’s “Don’t Nobody Want None.” It moves to #28 this week, up 50 spins.
And how about Lil Dicky f/Chris Brown’s “Freaky Friday” video? It’s the best I’ve seen in a while. It’s impacting at Rhythm this week. Make sure to reach out to Mike Chester and Michael Williams with any questions.
