CROSSOVER
THE BALLSTREET JOURNAL

I hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable Passover or Easter celebration. It's always a good time when you are able to spend time with family and friends. The top 10 continues to tighten up, with the top 5 remaining the same.

Republic's Post Malone "Congratulations" crashes the party, as he moves #13-10, gaining 340 spins. Gary Spangler and Davey Dee also see Drake’s "Passionfruit" (YMCMB) rocket #19-12, up 830 spins. Julia Michaels’ "Issues" comes in at #37, and Drake "Portland" (YMCMB) lands at #43. Amine’s "Redmercedes" has a solid first week, as it gains 165 spins, good enough for #51.

Ayelet Schiffman and James White at Columbia welcome Calvin Harris f/Frank Ocean and Migos’ "Slide" to the Top 10. It was up 345 spins, and continues to grow. Russ’ "Losin’ Control" misses the top 10 by just two spins. It gains 215 spins. Lecrae f/Ty Dolla $ign’s "Blessings" gains 170 spins and is now at #34. Ayo & Teo’s "Rolex" looks to be just a week away from debuting. It was up 180 spins, and now sits at #47.

Epic's Sujit Kundu guides DJ Khaled’s "Shining" (We The Best) to #4. He was up 245 spins, and now sets his sights on #1. It looks to be about three weeks away. A1/Freebandz Future is red hot, as "Selfish" f/Rihanna moves 18-16, gaining 130 spins. He also has "Mask Off" leaping #36-24, up an impressive 440 spins. He is impacting French Montana f/Swae Lee’s "Unforgettable" this week.

If you are one of the four people that regularly read my column, you know I have been trumpeting Childish Gambino "Redbone" (Glassnote). This record continues to grow and develop like a true hit. It is now #21, up 250 spins, and the sales and Shazams and streams just get bigger. There are a handful of holdouts, and they are missing a big record.

Def Jam’s Rick Sackheim and Noah Sheer see Big Sean’s “Moves” (G.O.O.D.) hold at #14, while gaining 165 spins. Bibi Bourelly’s “Ballin” is at #42, and Iggy Azalea’s “Mo Bounce” comes in at #50. Be on lookout for new music from Logic. He has an incredible fan base, and radio is already playing a few different tracks.

RCA’s Inca and Lori G are continuing to build the Khalid “Location” (Right Hand Music). He is at #6, up 150 spins, and will be inside The top 5 this time next week. ZAYN f/PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “Still Got Time” gains 60 spins, and is now at #52. They are impacting Chris Brown’s “Privacy” this week, and it is already inside the Top 50. They also have Kid Ink f/Ty Dolla $ign’s “F With U”, as well as a Wizkid f/Drake record coming shortly.
