Def Jam’s Big Sean’s “Bounce Back” (G.O.O.D.) slides back into the top spot this week, proving that it has staying power. Rick Sackheim and Noah Sheer also have his “Moves” climbing inside the top 20. It was up 160 spins this week. Jeremih’s “I Think of You” enters the Top 30, gaining 115 spins. 2 Chainz f/Gucci Mane & Quavo’s “Good Drank” and Bibi Bourelly’s “Ballin” are just outside the chart, as is Desiigner’s “Outlet.” All appear to be a few weeks away from debuting.
Ayelet Schiffman and James White at Columbia are seeing the hard work pay off with Russ “Losin Control.” It jumps #22-16, up 230 spins. Not only is this a real record, he is a real artist. The Chainsmokers’ “Paris” (Disruptor) is right ahead at #15, and still growing. They are also the proud owners of Calvin Harris f/Frank Ocean and Migos’ “Slide,” the #1 greatest gainer at the format. It leaps #39-26 this week, adding 730 spins to his total. It is basically doing the same thing at Top 40. They are impacting Lecrae f/Ty Dolla $ign’s “Blessings” next week. It is on the Urban chart, and is at #55 here at Rhythm.
Gary Spangler and Davey Dee at Republic dropped not one, but two Nicki Minaj tracks on Friday. “No Frauds” f/Drake and Lil Wayne shoots to #51 after just two days, up 305 spins, while “Regret in Your Tears” was up 110 spins. They are impacting both this week. The Weeknd’s “Party Monster” (XO) comes in at #3, with an increase of 120 spins. This is his week to move to #1. Marian Hill’s “Down” (Photo Finish) continues an upward trend, gaining 300 spins and entering the Top 15. Post Malone’s “Congratulations” jumps #27-21 thanks to an increase of 185 spins. This track has is proving to be legit, and continues to see solid streaming numbers and sales. Julia Michaels’ “Issues” just misses the chart at #44 this week.
Epic’s Sujit Kundu has his master plan in place to get Travis Scott’s “Goosebumps” #1. It is at #5 this week, up 500 spins. It looks to be about two weeks away. DJ Khaled f/Beyonce and Jay Z’s “Shining” (We The Best) moves inside the Top 10. It was up 200 spins and looks to secure power rotations. Future f/Rihanna’s “Selfish” (A1/Freebandz) takes a huge leap, moving #40-28, gaining 650 spins. Rick Ross f/Ty Dolla $ign’s “I Think She Like Me” comes in at #49, and Future’s “Draco” (A1/Freebandz) lands at #52, gaining 50 spins. 21 Savage & Metro Boomin’s “No Heart” is just heating up, moving to #66 this week. He is re-impacting Zara Larsson f/Ty Dolla $ign’s “So Good” this week.
RCA’s Inca and Lori G continue to build Chris Brown f/Usher & Gucci Mane's “Party.” It climbs #5-4, adding 335 spins. Khalid’s “Location” (Right Hand Music) gets a nice chart kiss, moving #16-12. It was up 80 spins.
WB’s Jason Derulo f/Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla $ign’s “Swalla” just misses the chart, landing at #41. It was among the most increased this week, up 345 spins. Lee L’Heureux should have one of the higher debuts this coming week.
Capitol’s Greg Marella and Dixie Tipton do an amazing job of debuting Katy Perry’s “Chained to the Rhythm” this week. It comes in at #39. It continues to grow at Top 40, where it is now top 10.
