CROSSOVER
THE BALLSTREET JOURNAL

The big story this week was just how many spins would the new DJ Khaled f/Beyonce and Jay Z (We The Best) get? Epic’s Sujit Kundu got his answer, and he was very pleased: 1,130 spins first week! It was good enough to debut at #30. Sujit also has Travis Scott’s “Goosebumps” (Grand Hustle) up another 500 spins, and moving to #11. It is a virtual lock for the top 10 this week. Future f/Drake’s “Used to This” is at #25, and Rick Ross f/Ty Dolla $ign’s “I Thing She Likes Me” moves to #54. Starley’s “Call On Me” is still developing, and they just impacted Future’s “Draco” (Freebandz) on 2/17. Make sure you check out his LP, is it really good. Hardwell f/Jay Sean’s “Thinking About You” is also just getting started, and they are impacting 21 Savage’s “No Heart” next week.

Def Jam has Big Sean’s “Bounce Back” (G.O.O.D.) at #2, and up 320 spins. It lost the #1 spot this week by a slim 13 spins. His other track, “Moves,” is up 175 spins, and lands at #29. Bibi Bourelly’s “Ballin” continues to develop, she was up 70 spins, and climbs to #50. Jeremih f/Chris Brown’s “I Think of You” is up a solid 150 spins, good enough for #52. This has a shot to debut this coming week. 2 Chainz f/ Gucci Mane’s “Good Drank” impacted last week, and is up 80 spins.

The crew at Republic has The Weeknd’s “Party Monster” at #6, after a 345 spin increase. Gary, Davey and Stef also have Ariana Grande f/Future’s “Everyday” up 200 spins, moving her to #17 on this week’s chart. ZAYN/Taylor Swift “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” (UStudios/RCA) is up triple digits, and just misses the top 20 this week. Marian Hill’s “Down” (Photo Finish) continues to climb, as they are up 350 spins, leaping #33-26. Post Malone’s “Congratulations” tacks on another 195 spins, which moves him to #34. His streaming numbers and sales remain very impressive. Sean Paul’s “No Lie” (Island) is at #43, and Mic Lowry “Oh Lord” (Polydor) is just getting started. It was up 50 spins. They are impacting Julia Michaels’ “Issues” this week. It is already Top 20 at Top 40 radio.

Columbia’s Ayelet Schiffman and James White welcome The Chainsmokers’ “Paris” (Disruptor) into the Top 20 this week; it was up 215 spins. Russ’ “Losin’ Control” has another very impressive week, as he is up 260 spins. He is at #27 this week. Look for them to impact Lecrae’s “Blessings” in the next few weeks.

Glassnote’s Nick P. continues to grind away with Childish Gambino’s “Red Bone.” It is at #45 this week, gaining 50 spins. Different formats continue to come on board each week, as this track is spreading market by market.

Capitol’s Greg Marella and Dixie Tipton are gearing up to impact Katy Perry “Chained to the Rhythm.” It has exploded at Top 40, and was up 225 spins at Rhythm last week.

Over at RCA, Inca and Lori G see Chris Brown f/Usher and Gucci Mane’s “Party” climb into the Top 10. He was up 350 spins. Khalid’s “Location,” a record we have been mentioning for a while, was up 275 spins, and moves to #19.
