Epic’s Sujit Kundu continues to deliver the hits, as DJ Khaled’s LP Major Keys (We The Best) is #1 this week. His single “For Free,” featuring Drake (YMCMB), is #3 on the printed chart, but #1 on the building chart. It gains over 500 spins. Khaled’s second single “I Got The Keys” f/Jay Z is at #18, up 130 spins, while his third single “Do You Mind,” which features Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown, was up 180 spins. I wonder if there has ever been a rap record debut at #1 when the person who released it doesn’t even rap on it!? Fifth Harmony “All In My Head (Flex)” (SYCO) holds at #10, up nearly 200 spins. Young Thug & Travis Scott “Pick Up The Phone” comes in at #41, and French Montana f/Drake “No Shopping” lands at #58. Jidenna “Little Bit More” is at #64.
Republic owns the #1 record in the land this week with Drake’s “Controlla” (YMCMB). Gary Spangler, Davey Dee and Stef Cole also have Marc E. Bassy f/G-Eazy’s “You And Me” at #14, adding an additional 260 spins to his total. Drake f/Rihanna’s “Too Good” (YMCMB) is this week’s most increased record, gaining 875 spins. It jumps to 15 from 25 this week! Ariana Grande’s “Into You” holds at #22, and adds 180 spins, and Kungs vs. Cookin’ on 3 Burners’ “This Girl” (New Casablanca) debuts at #33, thanks to an increase of 240 spins. Nick Jonas “Bacon” f/Ty Dolla $ign (Island) comes in at #38. Belly f/Kehlani’s “You” just misses debuting, landing at #46, up 105 spins.
Over at Def Jam, Rick Sackheim, Noah Sheer and Scott Maness have YG f/Drake & Kamaiyah’s “Why You Always Hatin?” moving to #16, up 140 spins. Kanye West f/Kid Cudi’s “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1” (Roc-a-Fella/G.O.O.D.) had an impressive week as it moves to #19, and saw an increase of 230 spins. Major Lazer f/Justin Bieber & MO’s “Cold Water” (Mad Decent) leaps #29-20, and increases an outstanding 850 spins. This one is quickly looking like it could be a Top 10 record in a few short weeks. DJ Mustard f/Nicki Minaj and Jeremih’s “Don’t Hurt Me” (Roc Nation)gains 215 spins and comes in at #44 this week. Logic’s “Flexicution” is at #50.
Columbia’s Ayelet Schiffman and James White hold Calvin Harris f/Rihanna’s “This Is What You Came For” (Westbury Road) at #4, gaining 250 spins. The Chainsmokers f/Halsey’s “Closer” (Disruptor) comes in at #49 after just one week, and will debut this coming week. They also have a new artist, Russ, who is on a small promo tour, and really making a name for himself. His current single “What They Want” is getting a lot of mix-show activity, and is a few weeks from impacting. Make sure you check this out! They are also impacting Beyonce’s “Hold Up” next week.
RCA’s Inca and Lori G move Usher’s “No Limit” inside the top 10 this week. It gains 315 spins, and climbs to #9. Sia “Cheap Thrills” (Monkey Puzzle) continues to impress, as it gains another 500 spins and moves to #13. Could she have a top 5 Rhythm record? Sure feels like it. Kid Ink f/Jeremih & Spice’s “Nasty” comes in at #35, after a 60-spin increase, and Bryson Tiller’s “Sorry Not Sorry” gains 145 spins and moves to #36 this week. Tinashe’s “Superlove,” which impacted last week, lands at #54, up 190 spins. She should debut this coming week. Britney Spears f/ G-Eazy’s “Make Me” is at #73, up 30 spins.
