CROSSOVER
THE BALLSTREET JOURNAL

For the sixth straight week, Drake's “One Dance” (YMCMB/Republic) has held off all contenders and held the #1 spot on the chart. Desiigner's “Panda” (G.O.O.D./Def Jam) was a casualty of Drake’s success, and there were a few other deserving records of the top slot that were just not strong enough to unseed him.

Gary Spangler, Davey Dee and Stef Cole already have his next single, “Controlla,” at #12. It was up an amazing 700 spins this week, and shows no signs of slowing down. The team also takes Ariana Grande's “Dangerous Woman” inside the Top 10. Nick Jonas f/Tove Lo's “Close” (Island) sits at #32, and Marc E. Bassy f/G-Eazy's “You & Me” jumps #34-26, gaining 160 spins. S-8ighty's “Halfway” (Zero to Sixty) is really just getting up and running nationally, after a very successful start in the New Orleans area. Be on the lookout for a new one from Ariana Grande, “Into You,” which will impact in a few weeks.

Epic’s Sujit Kundu continues the reign of assault on the chart, as Kent Jones' “Don’t Mind” (We The Best) moves to #3, gaining 695 spins. They're pushing for #1 now, and it looks like it'll happen in the next two weeks. DJ Khaled f/Drake’s “For Free” (We The Best) was, once again, the week’s Most Increased record, gaining 1,025 spins. In just two weeks, it's already at #16. Fifth Harmony's “All In My Head” (SYCO) moves #31-21, tacking on another 450 spins, and Future's “Wicked” (A1/Freebandz) debuts this week at #37, up 65 spins. Meghan Trainor's “Me Too” just misses debuting, and lands at #43. Young Thug & Travis Scott “Pick Up The Phone” is just getting started, and was up 70 spins this week.

Def Jam’s Rick Sackheim, Noah Sheer and Scott Maness have Rihanna's “Needed Me” (Westbury Road/Roc Nation) at #6, up 385 spins. Kanye West's “Father Stretch My Hands” (G.O.O.D.) debuts at #31, after a very impressive 325 spin increase. They also debut YG f/Drake's “Why You Always Hatin” at #33. This was up 175 spins. Twenty88's “On The Way” (G.O.O.D./Artium) is up 60 spins, and moves to #54.

Over at Columbia, Ayelet Schiffman and James White continue to hammer The Chainsmokers f/Daya's “Don’t Let Me Down.” It's at #4, and is up 310 spins. Beyonce's “Sorry” comes in at #8, and the goal is Top 5. Calvin Harris f/Rihanna's “This Is What They Came For” shoots into the Top 10, while gaining 250 spins. Adele's “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)” (XL) gains 125 spins, which lands her at #50. She is a few short weeks away from debuting.

Inca and Lori G. have Justin Timberlake's “Can’t Stop The Feeling” at #7 and G-Eazy f/Chris Brown's “Drifting” is at #14, gaining 230 spins this week. Usher f/Young Thug's “No Limit” just misses debuting, and looks to blow on the chart this coming week; it was up 290 spins this week. ZAYN's “Wrong” climbs to #62, adding an additional 85 spins. They're impacting Kid Ink f/Jeremih & Spice's “Nasty” (Alumni/88 Classic) this week.

John Strazza at RECORDS takes Trinidad James' “Just A Lil Thick” Top 15 this week. It gains another 200 spins.

Dixie Tipton and Capitol debut Niykee Heaton's “Bad Intentions” this week. It adds 90 spins to its total and lands at #35 this week.
