Now that we’re a week into the New Year, the charts have finally begun to gain some normalcy and get back on track. For the third week in a row, Epic’s Sujit Kundu has the #1 record in the land with Travi$ Scott’s “Antidote” (Grand Hustle). Yo Gotti’s “Down in the DM” (CMG) had a very strong week as well, moving to #21, up 322 spins. Plus, Sujit has Puff Daddy & The Family’s “You Could Be My Lover” (Bad Boy) impacting this week.

Def Jam’s Rick Sackheim, Noah Sheer and Scott Maness are making a concerted effort to take Justin Bieber’s “Sorry” (RBMG) to #1 this coming week. It’s currently sitting at #2 and about 400 spins behind. Bieber’s new single, “Love Yourself,” gained over 500 spins and is already inside the Top 25. Jeremih’s “Oui” climbs to #28 after an increase of 180 spins this week, and Rick Ross f/Chris Brown’s “Sorry” (MMG) moves to #35. Def Jam just released a hot new DJ Mustard track, featuring Travi$ Scott and entitled “Whole Lotta Lovin'.” That one’s creating a nice buzz.


Gary Spangler, Davey Dee and Stef Cole at Republic are all set to continue their dominance at the format in 2016. Drake & Future’s “Jumpman” (YMCMB/A1/Epic/Republic) is this week’s Greatest Gainer, up 820 spins to jump from #6-3. Another week like this and it’ll have no problem taking over the #1 slot. The Weeknd’s “In The Night” (XO) also had a tremendous showing, gaining 665 spins and climbing to #6. Adrian Marcel’s “Take Your Time” (L7) is now at #31 after picking up 80 spins. Republic is impacting new artist Belly and his first single, “Might Not” f/The Weeknd (CP/Roc Nation). They’re also setting up the new Post Malone record, “Too Young,” which will impact in the next two weeks. There’s lots of buzz on the song already and it’s up triple-digits this week.

Columbia’s Ayelet Schiffman and James White own one of the hottest records out there with The Chainsmokers f/Rozes’ “Roses” (Disruptor). It’s a total smash at Top 40 and up 420 spins this week at Rhythm, and it just secured Rhythm PC with the iHeartRadio chain. Columbia has a number of new tracks coming, including Adele’s “When We Were Young” (XL), The Internet’s “Girl” (Odd Future), Dej Loaf f/Future’s “Hey There” and a new one from J. Cole.

At RCA, John Strazza, Inca and Lori G have Bryson Tiller’s “Don’t” at #16, up 180 spins. It’s a monster at Urban, where it’s currently sitting at #2. G-Eazy f/Bebe Rexha’s “Me, Myself, and I” had another incredible week, gaining 320 spins to land at #19. Chris Brown’s “Back to Sleep” was up 290 spins, moving to #23. R. City f/Chloe Angelides’ “Make Up” (Kemosabe) just misses the chart at #42, but looks to debut this coming week. Kid Ink f/Fetty Wap’s “Promise” (Alumni/88 Classic) is off to a great start, gaining over 270 spins to land at #46. It should debut this coming week.


Warner Bros.’ Lee L’Heureux has moved Jason Derulo’s “Get Ugly” (Beluga Heights) inside the Top 25 after posting an increase of 255 spins. He also has Majid Jordan’s “Something About You” (OVO) at #30, increasing 190 spins.
