Ahhhh, Thanksgiving: A time when most of us gather with our families to give thanks and gorge ourselves full of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes and pie. For those of us in the industry, it symbolizes a three-day work week and less than a month until a much-needed extended vacation! Now that’s something to be thankful for, so strap on a feed bag, pack on that holiday weight and enjoy the season of giving… Speaking of giving,
IDJ has been giving us hits all year.
Rick Sackhiem, Noah Sheer, and
Scott Maness continue to deliver, as
Jay Z’s “Tom Ford” climbs #10-8 this week,
YG f/Jeezy & Rich Homie Quan’s “My Hitta” moves to #34,
Iggy Azalea’s “Change Your Life” is at #39 and
Maejor Ali f/Juicy J & Justin Bieber’s “Lolly” is sitting just outside the chart… Not far behind was
Republic.
Gary Spangler and
Davey Dee have been consistent in delivering hits all year. In addition to maintaining four records inside the Top 10 (
Drake’s
“Hold On, We’re Going Home,”
Lorde’s
“Royals,”
Sage the Gemini’s
“Gas Pedal” and
Ariana Grande’s “Right There”), they also have Drake’s “All Me” at #18, Drake’s “The Language” at #27 and up over 300 spins,
Tyga f/Justin Bieber’s “Wait For A Minute” at #32 and Sage the Gemini’s “Red Nose” looking to chart this coming week. In addition, they have
SoMo’s “Ride,” which will chart very soon, and they’re impacting Lorde’s “Team,” which is already off to the races at Pop… Team
RCA is also ending the year on a strong note.
Strazza,
Inca and
Lori G have
Chris Brown f/Nicki Minaj’s “Love More” at #3,
Justin Timberlake’s “TKO” at #12,
Kid Ink f/Chris Brown’s “Show Me” at #17 and up 279 spins,
Pitbull f/Ke$ha’s “Timber,” which jumps inside the Top 25, and
T Pain’s “Up Down” at #29… I’ve been talking about this record for a few weeks now, but let me say it again:
John Legend’s “All of Me” is something special. There are instant sales spikes,
Shazam numbers, calls and texts. Over at
Columbia,
Ayelet and
James White are picking up new stations each week. Spike this in mid-days and watch the reaction. They also have
Juicy J f/Wale & Trey Songz’s “Bounce It” going #24-22 this week, and
J Cole’s “She Knows” is ready to have a big debut this coming week on the chart. Another record that’s buzzing, with a very solid profile, is
Mack Wilds’ “Own It.” It’s going to chart this coming week at Rhythm and is already Top 20 at Urban. New stations this week include
WLLD,
WPGC,
WHHH,
WPYO,
KDGS,
KOPW and
WRCL. Do yourself a favor and take a few listens to this one…
Rachael Spangler,
Dixie Tipton and team
Epic have their hustle game on as they’re ready to chart
Future f/Miley Cyrus’ “Real And True” this coming week. They also have
Yo Gotti’s “Cold Blood,” which is just getting started…
Lee L’Heureux at
WB just continues to build
Macklemore’s “White Walls.” It’s #5 and up 163 spins this week. He also has
Jason Derulo’s
“Marry Me” at #25 this week. Have a happy and safe Thanksgiving!
