CROSSOVER
The fine folks at IDJ put on quite a showcase Monday night in NYC. Newly signed Iggy Azalea took the stage and dazzled the full house with her mesmerizing beats and sexy presence. Wow. She definitely owned the stage, performing alongside four decidedly, um, flexible dancers. She’s doing two nights in L.A next week; trust me, you don't want to miss it. A big thank-you to Scott Maness for putting everything together! It was great to see Rick Sackhiem not behind his desk. Noah Sheer kept the bar in business; Dan Hunt and Buster from WRDW, HotBoy from KOPW, DJ Buck from WZMX, and Pup Dog from WJMN Boston were among those in attendance. The label has the 2 Chainz record f/Pharrell, “Feds Watching,” ready to chart next week, Rihanna f/David Guetta “ Right Now” moving 30-24 and up 370 spins, and the Mariah Carey f/Miguel “#Beautiful” sitting at #12*… More kudos to Strazz and team RCA for achieving back-to-back #1s with Justin Timberlake. “Mirrors” was also a #1 record at Pop. They’re impacting Pitbull f/Danny Mercer “Outta Nowhere” this week, and also have a new Chris Brown f/Aaliyah, “They Don't Know,” which was blasted out yesterday, and a new Mario track f/Nicki Minaj, “Somebody Else.” Also, take a real listen to the Miley Cyrus “We Can't Stop.” Strazz loses his “right-hand girl,” Beata, this week—she becomes APD/MD at KIIS Los Angeles. Good luck, Beata … Republic’s Gary Spangler, Alisa Applegate and Davey Dee continue their momentum as they take Ariana Grande f/Mac Miller “The Way” into the top 5 this week. DJ Khaled “No New Friends” is also moving quickly, going top 15 this week and up over 300 spins. Lil Wayne “Rich as...” Is inside the Top 20 and Rich Gang “Tap Out” continues to garner new stations (it was up 212 spins this week). Team Republic is also impacting Jay Sean “Mars” this week. A nice buzz is developing on this song, which will be among the most added; it’s a departure from his usual uptempo style… Ayelet and James White at Columbia impact the new J Cole f/ TLC “Crooked Smile” this week. It’s ALREADY on the chart, sitting at #37 and up over 300 spins! The preorders on his upcoming album “Born Sinner” are currently #1. Daft Punk continue their multi-format success with “Get Lucky.” It’s Top 10 and still climbing, and pre-sales on the album have been nothing short of tremendous. Single sales are also huge; the track is currently #2, with over 1 million sold to date. And the Calvin Harris “I Need Your Love” builds to #34 this week. This too was a Top 10 most increased record. Lee L'Heureux is a happy man (even though the Orioles took 3 out of 4 from the Red Sox, and his beloved Celtics are about to lose Kevin Garnett and Doc Rivers). He has Macklemore “Same Love” at #18 and up over 400 spins, Jason Derulo “The Other Side” now inside the top 20 and Major Lazer “Bubble Butt” leaping 34-28 with an increase of 357 spins… Finally, Epic has two records inside the top 20 and still moving. Ciara “Body Party” is sitting at #17, up 271 spins and gaining new research stories each week. Sean Kingston f/Chris Brown “Beat It” is just outside the top 10, but had a number of increases this week. And they’re impacting a new Yo Gotti f/Jeezy “Act Right” next week.

Most Increased:
1) Robin Thicke f/Pharrell “Blurred Lines” Interscope
2) Ariana Grande f/Mac Miller “The Way” Republic
3) Macklemore & Ryan Lewis “Same Love” Macklemore/ADA/WBR
4) Rihanna f/David Guetta “Right Now” Def Jam/IDJ
5) Major Lazer “Bubble Butt” Mad D/Secretly Can./WBR

The Pulse:
1) J Cole f/TLC “Crooked Smile” Roc Nation/Columbia
2) 2 Chainz “Feds Watching” f/ Pharrell Def Jam/IDJMG
3) Jay Sean f/Rick Ross “Mars” YMCMB/Republic
4) Yo Gotti f/Young Jeezy “Act Right” CMG/Epic
5) Major Lazer “Bubble Butt” Mad D/Secretly Can/WBR
