CROSSOVER
A few more Arbitron ratings came out this past week: KKSS/Albuquerque, KOHT/Tucson, WHZT/Greenville and KBOS/Fresno all had impressive books. Congrats on turning the hard work into success. Two big releases came our way this week, this time in the form of RCA’s Chris Brown f/Nicki Minaj “Love More” and Enrique Iglesias’ “Turn the Night Up” (Republic). Both will surely be in a dogfight for most-added honors. RCA’s Strazza, Inca, and Lori G also have Justin Timberlake’s “Take Back The Night” entering the chart as the highest debuting record, at #25; it’s also the biggest increasing record this week. They also have Miley Cyrus’ “We Can’t Stop” at #31, Mario’s “Somebody Else” at #39, and Becky G’s “Play It Again” looking to chart this coming week… Republic shows no signs of slowing down. Besides Enrique, Gary Spangler, Alisa Applegate and Davey Dee have Ariana Grande “The Way” at #3, Rich Gang “Tap Out” at #23, Jay Sean “Mars” at #38, and Nelly “Get Like Me,” which is already inside the top 40 on the building chart. Be on the lookout for a new Ariana Grande, “Baby I,” and Kelly Rowland’s “Dirty Laundry.”… IDJ’s Rick Sackhiem, Noah Sheer and Scott Maness have Jay Z’s “Holy Grail” on cruise control into the top 20, going 23-17 and up almost 900 spins this week. In addition, they have 2 Chainz “Feds Watching” at #26, Big Sean “Beware” debuting at #33 and Iggy Azalea doing the “Work” to get on the chart… Lee L’Heureux at WB is trying to go three for three with Macklemore. “Same Love” is sitting at #4 this week, and trending towards #1. That makes two records inside the Top 10 for him, not to mention the sustained, incredible iTunes sales. Lee also has Major Lazer “Bubble Butt” at #15 and Jason Derulo “The Other Side” at #16. Derulo is also now a Top 5 record at Pop... Rachael Spangler and Dixie Tipton at Epic have Ciara “Body Party” heading towards the Top 10; it’s currently at #12. Yo Gotti “Act Right” is going to chart this coming week… At Columbia, Ayelet and James White have Daft Punk “Get Lucky” at #2. #1 looks attainable if the stars align. Columbia also has J. Cole “Crooked Smile” running hot, as it jumps 18-14 and is yet again among the most increased. In addition, Calvin Harris “Need Your Love” is at #22 and looking to jump into the Top 20. Ayelet and James also want you to be aware of a new Krewella entitled “Live For The Night” coming in the next few weeks, as well as a new Juicy J track, “Bounce It.”
