CROSSOVER
Although the Top 5 remained basically the same yet again this week, it looks as though there will finally be some changes soon, with three of the Top 5 without their bullet. Jay Z “Holy Grail” is the only new addition this week to the Top 5. There were a few highly anticipated releases this past week, including Katy Perry’s “Roar,” which debuts at #35. But the biggest gainer is Drake’s “Hold On, We're Going Home”; it was up over 1000 spins and jumped #31-15. It’s basically a cleanup week as KSFM, KZON, KLUC and others make it official this week… Gary Spangler and Davey Dee at Republic also have Rich Gang “Tap Out” at #18, Nelly at #26, Jay Sean at #28 and debut Ariana Grande “Baby I” at #31 this week. And they have a busy week as they impact both Sage The Gemini “Gas Pedal” and DJ Khaled “I Wanna Be With You.” The record has a tremendous sales picture. It’s #20 overall on the iTunes overall singles chart and #4 on the Hip-Hop chart… The IDJ contingency of Rick Sackhiem, Noah Sheer and Scott Maness also remain hot. In addition to the Jay Z, they have 2 Chainz’s “Feds Watching” at #19 and Big Sean’s “Beware” going #23-20 and up over 300 spins. Bubbling just under the chart, they have Iggy Azalea’s “Work,” Rich Homie Quan’s “Type of Way,” Ludacris’ “Helluva Night” and Avicii’s “Wake Me Up”… John Strazza, Inca, and Lori G at RCA keep up the momentum as they have Justin Timberlake’s “Take Back the Night” at #11 and Chris Brown going #21-17 and up over 400 spins. They’ve done a bang-up job thus far with Miley Cyrus’ “We Can't Stop,” which is #21 and up 171 spins. Miguel’s “How Many Drinks” is also enjoying a resurgence, going #37-34 this week, while Becky G’s “Play It Again” is sitting at #46… Columbia shows no signs of slowing down, as they have J. Cole’s “Crooked Smile” sitting at #6 and up over 300 spins. They also take Calvin Harris’ “I Need Your Love” to the Top 15, and it’s still growing. They impacted Daft Punk’s “Lose Yourself to Dance” last week, which was the #2 most added record. They continue to gather new commitments and climb the chart. Ayelet and James White also impact Juicy J’s “Bounce It” this week; it’s already on #35 on the Urban chart… Epic is impacting the new Future record, “Honest.” They also have Yo Gotti’s “Act Right” going #35-32. Be on the lookout for the new Sean Kingston f/Wale track, “Seasonal Love,” as well as TeeFlii’s “That D.” Both will be impacting soon… Lee L’Heureux at WB really has done a great job with Jason Derulo “The Other Side,” which has steadily reached #8 on the chart! He’s also close to the chart with Macklemore’s new single, “White Walls.” It should chart this coming week.
