NOW WHAT?
We have no fucking idea.
COUNTRY'S NEWEST DISRUPTOR
Three chords and some truth you may not be ready for.
AI IS ALREADY EATING YOUR LUNCH
The kids can tell the difference... for now.
WHO'S BUYING THE DRINKS?
That's what we'd like to know.

Among Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, Joan Jett’s Blackheart Records catalog has lagged behind others in making a full digital transition, a condition that Sony Legacy has remedied just prior to the release of the Jett documentary, Bad Reputation.
Jett and producer-manager-label co-co-owner Kenny Laguna were long wary of iTunes—they even discuss it in the doc—and with the new deal Legacy, has released today six vintage albums, three compilations and deluxe editions of I Love Rock 'N' Roll 33 1/3 Anniversary and Joan Jett - The First Sessions.
Legacy/Blackheart will also release the Bad Reputation soundtrack album on 9/28, which contains a new Joan Jett and the Blackhearts track, "Fresh Start," and "Androgynous" performed by Miley Cyrus, Laura Jane Grace and Jett.
The new SME/Legacy/Blackheart pact covers the worldwide rights to Jett's recorded music catalog, videos and concert films. The Thread Shop, Sony Music’s in-house merchandising company, will administer Jett’s exclusive merchandising rights, retail licensing and e-commerce.
"The music of Joan Jett—raw, real and uncompromising—has been an essential part of the pop culture landscape across four decades," said Richard Story, President, SME Commercial Music Group. "Sony Music and Legacy Recordings are both honored and thrilled to be part of the Joan Jett saga and look forward to bringing her music and attitude to future rockers."
The titles now available for downloads and streaming are Bad Reputation, I Love Rock 'N' Roll, Glorious Results of a Misspent Youth, Sinner, Pure and Simple, and Unvarnished plus the compilations Flashback, Fetish, and Greatest Hits.
Bad Reputation will play theaters across the country on 9/26 and have full theatrical runs in New York and Los Angeles beginning 9/28, the day it launches on iTunes, Amazon and on demand.
Among the other recordings covered under the SME/Blackheart deal are albums by Evil Stig (featuring Jett), Cherie Curie, FEA, Jackknife Stiletto, Girl in a Coma, The Dollyrots, The Vacancies, The Cute Lepers, and The Eyeliners.
