The final recordings of Elvis Presley, recorded in two sessions in the Jungle Room at Graceland, will be released 8/5 via RCA/Sony Legacy, less that two weeks prior to the 39th anniversary of the King’s death.

Way Down In The Jungle Room is the most complete and comprehensive collection of Presley's final studio recordings ever released. The two-CD set features recordings made 2/2-8, 1976 and 10/28-30, 1976 in Elvis’ home studio. Felton Jarvis produced the original sessions; engineer Matt Ross-Spang did the mixes for the new album at Sam Phillips Recording in Memphis.

Presley decided to convert the Jungle Room into an informal home studio, and away from the pressures of professional studios he had worked he cut covers such as "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain," "I'll Never Fall in Love Again" and "Danny Boy," and his future hits "Moody Blue" and “Way Down.”

Ten tracks from the first sessions were released on 1976’s From Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, Tennessee; other tracks appeared on 1977’s Moody Blue. The backing band included Presley regulars such as guitarist James Burton, drummer Ronnie Tutt, the keyboardists David Briggs and Glenn D. Hardin, bassists Jerry Scheff and Norbert Putnam and the vocals of J.D. Sumner & the Stamps.
