TECHNICAL “KNOCK”-OUT
5/21/15

The Stones have posted alternate takes of two cuts from the Sticky Fingers reissue (UMe, 6/9)—at least they’re labeled as alternate takes. This one sounds like an early workup of “Can’t You Hear Me Knockin’” on which Keith hits upon the riff as Mick offers encouragement while spinning out some lyrics. The other preview track is an acoustic rendition of “Wild Horses.” We’ve heard a few more of these bonus tracks, and we were particularly blown away by a rawboned studio take on the sublime “Dead Flowers.” Can’t wait to get our mitts on the whole thing.
