Metallica is heading for their first U.K. Official Albums #1 in 15 years. Over on singles, Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding look set to reign for a third week.

72 Seasons (Vertigo) by Metallica is leading the albums race at today’s halfway point.

Waterparks are also new, at #2, with Intellectual Property (Parlophone).

Celebrating 50 years since it was first released, David Bowie’s Aladdin Sane (Parlophone) is heading for a Top 10 re-entry at #7, thanks to a special anniversary half-master speed vinyl release.

Joe Bonamassa’s Tales of Time (J&R Adventures) looks set to score him his sixth U.K. Top 10.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, “Miracles” (Columbia) by Harris and Goulding remains on top.

This week’s highest new entry looks set to be “Daylight” (Miserable Music) by TikTok star David Kushner, at #2. Lewis Capaldi’s new single, “Wish You The Best” (Vertigo/EMI), is also off to a strong start at #3 today.

“Heaven” (Capitol) by Niall Horan could break into the Top 10 for the first time after rising 13 places to #9 . Finally, Post Malone’s “Chemical” (Mercury/Republic) is tracking for a #12 debut.
