boygenius have debuted at #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart. Over on singles, Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding (pictured) score the top spot.
In charting at the top of albums with the record (Interscope), boygenius members Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker claim their first Top 40, while Phoebe Bridgers has her second.
Just behind at #2 is Melanie Martinez’s Portals (Atlantic) and DMA’S How Many Dreams? (I Oh You/Mushroom) at #3.
The reissue of De La Soul’s 1989 debut, 3 Feet High and Rising (AOI), reaches a new peak today at #9, 34 years after its initial release, when it charted at #12.
Davido has a career-best with Timeless (Sony) at #10.
On the U.K.’s Official Singles Chart, “Miracle” (Columbia) by Harris and Goulding has climbed to the top, four weeks after release.
The track emerged victorious in a tight battle with Ed Sheeran’s “Eyes Closed” (Atlantic), which moves down to #3 today, and at #2, Miley Cyrus’ “Flowers” (Columbia).
Outside the Top 10, Mimi Webb’s “Red Flags” (Epic) is back up to #12, while Mae Stephens’ “If We Ever Broke Up” (EMI) rises three to #13. Jax Jones & Calum Scott’s “Whistle” (Polydor) breaks into the Top 20, at #14. Switch Disco & Ella Henderson’s “React” (Relentless) is also on the rise, from #26 to #15.
