PARLOPHONE TEAM GROWS
2/21/23

Jack Meluish, right, has been promoted to GM at Parlophone has made multiple promotions. From left, Sam Palm is head of Insight, Grace O’Neill is head of Radio and, at right, Jack Meluish is the new GM. Co-President Mark Mitchell, second from right, was behind the moves along with Nick Burgess.

Parlophone Records has bolstered its team with a number of key promotions and hires, including upping Jack Melhuish to GM and adding four new A&R staff.

Melhuish joined the Warner U.K. label in 2018 as Director of Marketing, Partnerships and Strategy. Since then, he’s led campaigns for Ashnikko, Coldplay, David Guetta, Gabriels, Gorillaz, Kano, PinkPantheress and Sam Ryder.

In his new role, which reports into co-Presidents Nick Burgess and Mark Mitchell, Melhuish will continue to oversee and strategize campaigns for Parlophone’s roster, while taking on wider responsibilities within the label.

Mitchell called Melhuish "one of the most dynamic and culturally insightful marketing executives in the industry today. His natural ability to understand artist positioning, narrative and the streaming ecosystem, make him an invaluable asset to our artists and the Parlophone label.”

In addition, Arina Logacheva, Molly McNulty and Seb Smith have been appointed as senior A&R managers, while Jason Ngimbi has been brought in as a junior A&R manager.

Logacheva joins from Universal Music, where she was a senior A&R manager, based in Germany. McNulty moves to Parlophone after seven years at Kobalt Music Publishing, where she was most recently a senior A&R manager. Smith was previously at Believe Music; Ngimbi was junior A&R manager at BMG.

Burgess said: "Each one of them is an inspiring A&R, with excellent taste and a depth of musical knowledge that will bring an abundance of diverse and vibrant energy to the label.”

Parlophone has also promoted Grace O’Neill and Sam Palm to head of Radio and head of Insight, respectively. Palm will now oversee the newly created Insight department, where he will augment the work he’s been doing as the label’s Streaming lead, incorporating more extensive audience data to provide increased analysis and value to artists’ campaigns.
