The BRIT Awards first Saturday night TV slot pulled in an audience of 3.9m viewers, a rise of 1.2m on last year’s ceremony, which took place on a Tuesday.
It seems the move to Saturday paid off for the ITV broadcast. The live show took a 53% share of the 16- to 34-year-old audience.
The BRIT Awards 2022 suffered record low ratings, with an audience of 2.7m tuning in during the show. 2021’s ceremony tallied 2.9m, 2020’s had 3.8m, while the 2019 ceremony had an audience of 4.1m.
Further numbers will be added when the viewing figures for the global YouTube livestream roll in.
