U.K. MIDWEEKS: SAM EYES THIRD #1
1/30/23

Sam Smith is heading toward #1 on the U.K.’s Official Album Chart with Gloria (Capitol). Over on singles, Miley Cyrus looks set to remain on top.

With Gloria, Smith should have their third U.K. #1 album on Friday.

Bob Dylan’s Fragments—Time Out Of Mind Sessions (Sony Music CG) is also new today, at #2. Ava Max is the third new entry in the midweek Top 5 with Diamonds & Dancefloors (Atlantic) starting at #5.

Outside the Top 10, Chaos & Colour (Silver Lining Music) from prog-rock band Uriah Heap is aiming for a #19 debut.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, Cyrus’s “Flowers” (RCA) is outselling its closest competition by more than 2:1.

RAYE f/070 Shake’s “Escapism.” (Human Re Sources) remains at #2. This week’s highest new entry would be “Voices” (Atlantic) from KSI and Oliver Tree, starting at #6.

Following its entry in the Top 10 for the first time on Friday nearly 13 years after its original release, Miguel’s 2010 single, “Sure Thing” (JIVE), is looking to rise to a new peak of #8.

Tiësto and Tate McRae’s slow-burning dance-hit, “10:35” (Atlantic), is predicted to shift up one to #13, as is Cian Ducrot’s “I’ll Be Waiting” (Polydor) at #17, and Mimi Webb’s “Red Flags” (Epic) at #20.
