NEW YEAR HONOREES
1/3/23

A number of British execs have been included in his Majesty the King’s New Year’s Honors list, including outgoing BPI Chief Geoff Taylor and PPL CEO Peter Leathem.

Taylor, who stepped down at the end of the year after 15 years in the role, has been awarded an OBE for services to the music industry. The BPI’s newly appointed Chair, Yolanda Brown, was also awarded an OBE for services to music, music education and broadcasting.

Leathem was awarded an OBE for services to the music industry, while Queen guitarist Brian May was knighted after he helped launch the late Queen’s Platinum Jubilee concert in the summer.

Other honorees include Blue Raincoat Chrysalis Group CEO Robin Millar, who received a knighthood for services to music, people with disabilities, to young people and charity.
