Lewis Capaldi’s “Someone You Loved” (EMI) has overtaken Ed Sheeran’s “Shape of You” (Atlantic) as the U.K.’s most-streamed song of all time.
Capaldi’s track has amassed 562m streams across audio and video since its release in November 2018. “Someone You Loved” topped the Official Singles Chart in March 2019 and spent seven weeks at #1.
Sheeran’s “Shape of You” is now #2 on the most-streamed list, which has been compiled to celebrate the chart’s 70th anniversary.
Sheeran’s 2017 Christmas hit, “Perfect,” is #3, followed by George Ezra’s “Shotgun” (Columbia) at #4 and “Dance Monkey” (Parlophone) by Tones & I at #5.
The rest of the Top 10: “Blinding Lights” (Island) by The Weeknd at #6,; “Mr. Brightside” (Island) by The Killers at #7; “Baby Shark” (Relentless) by Pinkfong at #8; “Despacito (Remix)” (Republic) by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee and Justin Bieber at #9; and “Shallow” (Interscope) by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper at #10.
