YMU GROWS WITH MARGERISON
11/2/22

YMU Music has named Sophia Margerison as Global Business Development Director. Based in London and L.A., she reports to Global President Matt Colon.

In her new role, Margerison will be tasked with recruiting artist managers, broadening and diversifying the company’s roster, and helping to oversee the global representation of YMU clients.

Prior to joining YMU, she was Head of Live Music Partnerships at now collapsed startup Pollen, where she worked on Bring Me The Horizon's successful four-day festival in Malta. Margerison also has history at Virgin EMI Records as senior A&R executive and spent eight years as an agent at United Talent in L.A., repping acts including Kelis, Estelle and Manic Street Preachers.

“Sophia’s extensive and nuanced understanding of both music executives and the artists that drive the music business are an invaluable asset that will help YMU continue to grow both domestically and abroad,” Colon said.
