U.K. MIDWEEKS: BEATLES OR SWIFT?
10/31/22

The Beatles are challenging Taylor Swift for this week’s U.K. Official Albums #1 with a re-issue of ’66 set, Revolver (Apple Corps). Over on singles, there’s just 300 sales between the Top 3.

On albums, Swift’s Midnights (EMI) is still at #1 at this week’s halfway point. The Beatles are new at #2 with a deluxe re-issue of Revolver.

Michael Ball and Alfie Boe have teamed up again for Together in Vegas (Decca) at #3, followed by producer Fred again… , who could claim his first U.K. Top 10 with Actual Life 3 (Atlantic).

Triggered (Earache) from rock band Massive Weapons rounds out the Top 5.

Further new entries in today’s Top 10 are Foo FightersThe Essential (Roswell) at #6, Tom Odell’s Best Day of My Life (UROK/mtheory) at #7, Paul Weller’s Will of the People (Universal) at #8 and Blue’s Heart & Soul (BMG) at #10.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweeks, Swift’s “Anti-Hero” remains in the lead. The top spot, however, is in play: There are just 300 sales separating the track, Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up” (Def Jam) at #2 and Sam Smith and Kim Petras’ “Unholy” (Capitol) at #3.

Three tracks could hit new peaks inside the Top 10: Oliver Tree and Robin Schulz’s “Miss You” (Atlantic) at #5, Stormzy’s “Hide & Seek” (Def Jam 0207) at #6 and Venbee & Goddard with “Messy in Heaven” (Sony) at #10.

SZA’s “Shirt” (RCA) looks set for a #15 debut, while Meghan Trainor’s “Made You Look” (Epic) is this week’s biggest gainer so far, up 10 to #18.
