Heading into the fourth quarter of 2022, Harry Styles has the biggest-selling album and single in the U.K. this year.
Harry’s House has shifted 370k sales since it arrived in May and no other album this year has sold more physical copies (117.6k). “As It Was” (Columbia) which spent 10 weeks at the top of the Official Singles Chart earlier this year, has sold over 1.3m chart units so far, driven by 149.6m streams.
Second place in singles at the end of Q3 is “Peru” (Island/YBNL Nation/Empire) by Fireboy DML and Ed Sheeran with 122m streams. It’s one of three entries for Sheeran in the YTD Top 5: his “Bad Habits” (Atlantic) is #3 and “Shivers” is #5.
Cat Burns’ breakthrough hit “Go” (RCA/Since 93) takes fourth place.
In the singles Top 10, Sony and UMG count three entries apiece while Warner has two.
Sheeran is also #2 at albums with = registering 346k sales in 2022; Olivia Rodrigo’s SOUR (Geffen) is #3. Two greatest hits collections complete the Top 5: The Weeknd’s Highlights (Republic/XO) at #4 and Between Us (RCA) by Little Mix at #5.
On the Top 10 albums list, UMG has five releases, Warner three and Sony two.
