Kate Bush’s ’85 hit “Running Up That Hill” (EMI) has been named the U.K.’s most popular song of the summer, with 762k sales over the period.
According to the Official Charts, the track has the most streams of any song from June to the end of August with 86.6m and the most digital downloads as well (more than 42k). It hit #1 in June thanks to an appearance in Netflix series Stranger Things.
Harry Styles has two tracks in the Top 10: “As It Was” (Columbia) in second place and "Late Night Talking" at #10. The recent long-running #1, “Afraid to Feel” (Warner Records) by LF SYSTEM, is #3.
In the Top 10, Sony claims five tracks, Warner four and UMG one.
