THE BRITS PLUG IN FENDER
1/31/22

Sam Fender is the latest act added to the BRIT Awards line-up while questions abound about how Adele, who is up for four awards, might take part following the controversy surrounding the cancellation of her Las Vegas residency.

Fender, also a multi-nominee, joins Dave, Doja Cat, Ed Sheeran, Holly Humberstone, Liam Gallagher and Little Simz on the bill. His BRITs appearance will be followed by a U.K. arena tour in March and April, ahead of a milestone outdoor headline show at London’s Finsbury Park in July.

Adele hadn’t yet been announced as a performer although The Sun reports that BRITs bosses had confirmed to she would take part in the show, but she has now apparently pulled out. Whether she’ll make an appearance, virtually or in-person, to accept any awards remains to be seen.

The ceremony takes place at London’s O2 Arena on 2/8.
