BRITS HONOR INFLO
1/28/22

British producer Inflo, who has worked with Adele, Michael Kiwanuka and Little Simz, is winner of this year’s BRIT Awards Producer of the Year gong. He’s the first black producer to win the award.

Over the last year, Inflo produced three tracks on Adele’s 30 and as lead producer for Simz’ Sometimes I Might Be Introvert. His work also includes Kiwanuka’s U.K. #1 Love & Hate and the Mercury Prize-winning follow up, Kiwanuka.

“I feel honored to be a part of change,” he said of the win. “All the black producers before me, I’m in awe and have studied you. I am you. Thank you for both paving the way and for your integral contribution to British music.”

Inflo is the mastermind behind alternative band SAULT and first came to prominence when he produced and co-wrote The KooksListen in 2014.
