BRITS ENTER NFT WORLD
1/26/22

The BRIT Awards has announced its first-ever NFT collection in partnership with eco-friendly platform, Serenade. Fans will be able to purchase the limited edition NFTs for £10 each.

Designed by digital artist MRE, the collection will commemorate the 2022 winning artists of categories including Artist of the Year, Best New Artist, Mastercard Album of the Year and the four new genre awards. They’ll be available beginning 2/9, the day after the ceremony in London.

Fans who collect them will also get the chance to win VIP tickets to next year’s BRIT Awards. All proceeds from the sales will be donated to charity The BRIT Trust, which distributes money raised from the awards to organizations and charities that promote education and well-being through music.

“We wanted to find a new way for fans to commemorate their favorite artists winning a BRIT award,” Luke Ferrar, Innovation Director at Polydor Records and Co-Chair of BRITs Digital Committee, said. “Creating a unique NFT felt like an interesting and different approach, and by pricing them at a reasonable cost it allows more people to enter the emerging space of blockchain/digital art.”
