Adele’s 30 (Columbia) looks set for a fourth consecutive week at #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart while Ed Sheeran and Elton John are likely to remain on top at singles.

At the halfway point, 30 has nearly double the sales of its closest competitor, which is Sheeran’s Equals (Atlantic). On Friday, 30 will claim the longest consecutive stint at #1 of any set this year.

This week’s highest new albums entry is currently Paul Weller’s An Orchestrated Songbook (Polydor) at #3. Juice WRLD’s posthumous Fighting Demons (Interscope) could debut at #7 and Neil Young & Crazy Horse’s Barn (Reprise) is currently on course for a #9 debut.

Doja Cat’s Planet Her (Kemosabe/RCA) could jump 15 places to #15 following its physical release, while Green Day is eyeing a new entry at #19 with their BBC Live Sessions (Reprise) LP.

On the U.K.’s Official Singles midweek update, Sheeran and John’s ”Merry Christmas” (Atlantic) is heading for a second week at #1.

The track is in the running to claim the coveted Christmas #1 spot, unless YouTubers LadBaby, who have claimed the top position for the last three years, pip them to the post with their charity track, “Sausage Rolls For Everyone.” It’s a friendly battle—Sheeran and John will feature on the track, the profits for which go to food bank charity The Trussell Trust.

Two festive classics are in competition for the #2 spot this week with just 2k sales between them. Today, Wham!’s “Last Christmas” (Epic) looks set to rise to #2 while Mariah Carey is #3 with “All I Want for Christmas is You” (Columbia).

Alongside many other Christmas tracks in the Top 20 is Olivia Dean with Nat King Cole cover and Amazon Music exclusive, “The Christmas Song,” which could earn the EMI-signed newcomer her debut Top 20 after rising 21 places to #18.
