UMPG LOCKS IN DJ ALOK
11/15/21

UMPG has inked DJ Alok to an exclusive global pub deal.

Following releases like “Don’t Say Goodbye” w/Tove Lo, “On & On,” his remix of Meduza’s “Piece of Your Heart” —which was nominated at this year’s International Dance Music Awards—and more, Alok has become the most listened to Brazilian artist on Spotify with 19m+ monthly listeners.

His single “Hear Me Now” garnered over half a billion Spotify streams, contributing to his 3b+ on the platform alone, while the This Is Alok playlist is the platform’s second largest of all time.

He also recently dropped “Wherever You Go” with John Martin, an official remix of Dua Lipa’a “Physical’” and “In My Mind” with John Legend.

“I’m extremely proud to be signing with one of the most recognisable brands in the music industry, Universal Music Publishing Group,” shared Alok.

“Getting to know Alok has been such a pleasure and together we will propel his artistry even further on the global stage,” said UMPG U.K. Senior A&R Director, Dougie Bruce. UMPG U.K. MD, Mike McCormack, added, “Signing Alok is a coup for UMPG globally. He is a talented artist with fans all over the world, including at UMPG.”

Creating music for over a decade, Alok became the second most followed DJ last year on social media and he came in 4th place on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs poll for 2021.
