Liz Northeast has been appointed U.K. General Manager at Downtown-owned FUGA on the heels of it securing a distribution deal with indie label group Beggars.
FUGA will service global DSP partners with Beggars’ catalog and new releases across its five labels, 4AD, Matador, Rough Trade Records, XL Recordings and Young.
The partnership integrates Beggars’ newly developed technology platform and FUGA’s proprietary digital supply chain technology, enabling growth across the two firms.
“As one of the most influential label groups in both the U.K. and global independent music, Beggars Group is an incredibly exciting addition to our international clients, with FUGA now a route to market for a significant portion of the world’s new releases,” FUGA CEO Pieter van Rijn said.
Northeast, who will report to SVP EMEA Dorothée Imhoff. joined FUGA as Client Relations Director EMEA in early 2021. A former exec at The Orchard and AWAL, she will spearhead FUGA’s London team, overseeing existing U.K. clients and partner relations, including Beggars Group, as well as handling all new business development for the region.
