Glass Animals manager Amy Morgan of September Management will be awarded with Manager of the Year at the Artist & Manager Awards. In addition, The Black Music Coalition have been named Industry Champions.
Morgan will be honored in recognition of her global successes with Glass Animals, including a multifaceted internet-led campaign for their third studio album, Dreamland. The set is the band’s most successful release to date, charting at #2 in the U.K., #7 in the U.S. and #6 in Australia. Its key single, “Heat Waves,” has surpassed 1b streams.
The campaign overcame a wave of COVID-related barriers to explore everything from 3D artwork, live-streamed events, syncs in FIFA ’21, and Minecraft fan fiction—along with associated Zoom sessions, Discord chats and Reddit hangs.
Following the lifting of restrictions, Morgan has helped the band re-embark on their tour of the U.K., North America and Europe; they headline London's Alexandra Palace in November.
