10/8/21

The Script head straight to #1 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart with Tales From The Script–Greatest Hits (Sony CMG). Ed Sheeran’s “Shivers” claims a fourth week at #1 on the singles chart.

The Irish rockers’ best-of lands at the top with 23k chart sales, 87% of which were physical sales. They join Arctic Monkeys, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Kings Of Leon, Radiohead, Blur and Muse as bands with six #1 albums.

Right below The Script is The SpecialsProtest Songs 1924-2012 (Island) at #2; it’s the week’s biggest seller on vinyl. Queen drummer Roger Taylor lands his first solo UK Top 10 as his sixth record, Outsider (Virgin), debuts at #3.

Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga enter in at #6 with their Cole Porter collection Love For Sale (Universal). At #7 is Hans Zimmer’s soundtrack to the new James Bond film, No Time To Die (Decca); it’s the highest charting Bond track in the franchise’s history.

Rapper Potter Payper’s Thanks For Waiting (0207), at #8, is his second U.K. Top 10 album and the most-streamed new entry of the week. The vinyl release of Taylor Swift’s Fearless (Taylor’s Version) (EMI) pushes it to #9.
