O2 READY TO FILL THE SEATS
5/17/21

Full-capacity events at The O2 arena in London will resume in August, AEG has announced. The expansion to the full 20k capacity follows last week’s Brits Award in front of a live audience of 4.5k.

The series of Welcome Back events will be announced soon; the first ones confirmed are a Madness/Squeeze double bill on 12/18 and U.K. comedian Mo Gilligan with The Black British Takeover on 12/8. HAIM is booked for 9/30, a rescheduled 2020 show.

“We have created a truly spectacular program of events to reopen the venue, and 2022 looks set to be our busiest ever,” O2 arena VP & GM Steve Sayer said.

The Welcome Back Shows will run from August forward and the venue promises to showcase a diverse line-up.
