Back in the pre-coronavirus days when executives could gather for a trade shot, Johnny Tennander, Michèle Hamelink, Sarah Gabrielli, Lasse Ewald and David Ventura gathered at Sony/ATV in London.
Sony/ATV has promoted two execs within its European A&R department: Michèle Hamelink is now Senior A&R, Europe, based in Amsterdam, and Sarah Gabrielli is U.K. and Europe A&R Manager from London.
In her new role, Hamelink reports to Johnny Tennander, Managing Director, Scandinavia & Senior Vice President, A&R Europe. Gabrielli reports to David Ventura, President & Co-Managing Director of Sony/ATV's UK division and SVP International.
"Michèle and Sarah have grown into their roles at Sony/ATV over the last few years and their promotions are thoroughly deserved,” Ventura said. "They embrace our songwriters, their drive is inspiring, and most importantly they live for music. International collaboration is at the center of what we do, and I look forward to watching them step up in their new responsibilities.”
Hamelink began working at Sony/ATV in 2012, joining the European A&R team in 2015 as Creative Manager and European A&R Scout before being promoted to Senior Creative Manager. Gabrielli joined Sony/ATV in 2016 as an A&R assistant, and was later promoted to A&R Manager.
