GLASSNOTE GROWS IN BLIGHTY

Glassnote has hired Dexter Batson to head up radio and streaming in Blighty as U.K. Head of Promotion. He joins from Spotify, where he was responsible for alternative playlisting.

Daniel Glass said, “His experience is perfect for how music gets exposed and grows in this exciting era.”

Batson has spent the last 3-1/2 years at Spotify as Senior Editor on the Music Culture and Editorial team. While there, he was tasked with exporting British and Irish alternative music to the world, as well as bringing music to the U.K. audience. Prior to his time at Spotify, he spent five years at the BBC, working in the music teams of Radio 1 and 6 Music as well as doing production work at Radio 1 and 1Xtra.

Batson started his career in independent radio promotions at AJPR, working with artists including Klaxons, La Roux, Flaming Lips and The Wombats.
