U.K. MIDWEEKS: A MAP TO #1

BTS are heading for a second #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Charts with Map of the Soul: 7 (Big Hit) outselling its three competitors combined at the halfway point. Over on singles, The Weeknd has knocked Billie Eilish down to #2.

Map of the Soul: 7 is the best-selling album of the week so far on CD and download formats. It follows Map of the Soul: Persona, which hit the top of the U.K. charts last year.

At #2, Ozzy Osbourne’s Ordinary Man (Sony) is on course to become his highest-charting album as a solo artist; it is the best-seller on vinyl midweek.

On the U.K’s Official Singles midweeks, The Weeknd’s “Blinding Lights” (Island) has moved up one place to reclaim the #1 spot.
