Wolf Alice were crowned winners of 2018's Mercury Prize in London last night for their second album on Jamie Oborne’s Dirty Hit label, Visions of a Life. The band accepted the prize with a big FU to an industry exec who didn’t get their schtick early on.
Politically charged singer and songwriter Nadine Shah had been the bookies’ favorite on the night, ahead of Jorja Smith, Sons of Kemet, King Krule, Wolf Alice and Arctic Monkeys.
