The U.K. creative community has launched an umbrella trade body, The UK Council of Music Makers (CMM), that aims to fight for the rights of songwriters and composers, featured artists, music managers, music producers and musicians to ensure artists can thrive in the digital age.
The new body comprises songwriter and composer body BASCA, featured artist org FAC, managers group MMF, producers guild MPG and the Musicians' Union. CMM will campaign for a music ecosystem that is “fully fair and fit for purpose.”
