Ariana Grande is set for her second #1 on the U.K.’s Official Albums Chart with Sweetener (Island) shifting 26k combined sales so far. Over on singles, Calvin Harris & Sam Smith have the highest new midweek entry at #5 with “Promises” (Columbia), while tribute-paying fans have Aretha Franklin making an impact on the Top 40.
In the first three days of release, Sweetener has already eclipsed the first-week sales of 2016’s Dangerous Woman, and is the fastest seller of Grande's career in Blighty. Last week’s #1, Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again (Polydor), is 15k sales behind at #2.
