You Me At Six has inked a global deal with Kobalt’s recorded-music unit, AWAL. Vocalist, Josh Franceschi, is “excited to be joining the Kobalt family. They match our ambition and vision for the band," He added that AWAL had "facilitated the launch of the group's our own imprint on Underdog Records, which was very important to us as a band. We’re looking forward to our future with them.”
The band, which formed in Weybridge, Surrey in 2004, has released five albums; the most recent, Night People, dropped in 2017.
Paul Hitchman, President of Kobalt Music Recordings noted the band has "a global audience and a clear vision for this release which makes them a great fit with AWAL. Creatively, they are at the top of their game, and we are very ambitious for the campaign both in the U.K. and internationally.”
AWAL’s services include global marketing, campaign coordination, sync licensing, digital and physical distribution. Rumors that an in-house dispensary is pending couldn't be confirmed at the time of this writing.
